We are the world's leading manufacturer of automotive components, specializing in door frames, reinforcements, sills, and dashboard bases. In the Czech Republic, our production facilities are located in Strakonice, Blatná, and Kopřivnice.
One of the biggest challenges we faced was the simultaneous arrival of multiple trucks — sometimes up to 20 at once — without any prior coordination. This caused traffic congestion both on-site and in the surrounding area. It also resulted in uneven workload distribution for staff involved in receiving, dispatching, and production, as well as inefficiencies in warehouse space planning and utilization.
After the rapid deployment of the Time Slot Control application, we saw immediate improvements. The coordinated and scheduled arrivals of carriers allow our operators to prepare in advance for incoming materials and outgoing products. The entire carrier-handling process has become shorter, more transparent, and less labor-intensive. We can now quantify savings in operating costs in the tens of thousands per month.
