At the Prague training centre of VŠLG, our colleagues Dana Klištincová and Jaroslava Ouzká presented Time Slot Control, which helps manufacturing companies, distribution centres and logistics companies efficiently plan carrier arrivals, eliminate waiting at loading docks and automate vehicle check-in.

The workshop was not just theory. The students gained access to a demo version of the system and were able to try reservation of time slots, work with planning and gain an overview of logistics data. We also discussed the integration of Time Slot Control with ERP and WMS systems, automated gates, kiosks for self-service driver check-in and technologies for licence plate recognition.

We were very pleased by the students' active interest and the number of practical questions, which confirmed that automation of logistics processes is one of the key topics of both today's and tomorrow's logistics.

Thank you to the College of Logistics for the invitation and the opportunity to share experience from real implementations. We believe that connecting the academic environment with practice helps prepare future logistics professionals for the challenges of modern supply chains.
