Email and SMS communication without lost messages

If the e-mail does not appear for the related process, the change history contains a technical code, or it is not possible to change the telephone area code for SMS, the user does not know whether the message was actually prepared correctly. The communication then looks lost even before it is possible to start dealing with its delivery.

In Time Slot Control, we have therefore refined three places that are essential for everyday communication: finding e-mails directly at the auction, a clear display of the history of changes in the e-mail notification and a reliable selection of the international prefix when sending SMS.

Communication does not end with the Send button

In operation, it is not enough to just create a message. The dispatcher or administrator must be able to return to it, check its content and quickly recognize whether the problem has already arisen when entering data, when displaying history or outside TSC.

Therefore, the new fixes are not connected by one communication channel, but by one practical goal: to reduce blind spots between sending a message and finding it later.

Auction emails stay in context

A transport auction can include invitations and other email communications with attendees. When the list of messages for a particular auction didn't load, it was more difficult to verify what had already been sent, and the worker had to look for information outside of the place where they were handling the auction.

We have fixed the loading of email history so that messages are displayed again directly for the related auction. This way, when the user checks the process, they can see the communication where they expect it, and do not have to compose the progress from several separate screens.

Change history is readable, not full of HTML tags

Notes on reservations can use a formatted HTML editor. Therefore, in the change history inserted into the email notification, technical HTML code could also be displayed next to the text under certain circumstances. Although the information was in the email, it was unnecessarily confusing for the recipient.

Time Slot Control now removes HTML tags when this history is compiled, converts HTML entities to regular characters, and preserves the necessary spaces between parts of the text. The recipient receives readable content of the change without distracting technical notation.

The modification concerns the presentation of the note in the e-mail. It does not change the meaning of the saved information or other data in the reservation history.

SMS can also be prepared for a number with a different area code

Drivers and carriers often use phone numbers from different countries. When sending an SMS manually, it must therefore be possible to check and possibly change the international area code directly in the dialog.

The control styles for the phone number are now loaded uniformly throughout the application. The country and prefix selection is therefore also correctly available in dynamically opened windows, including the SMS sending dialog. The user can prepare the number in the correct international format before sending it and does not have to look for an alternative procedure.

Three questions to solve the problem faster

What I need to find out Where Time Slot Control helps
Was the email part of a specific auction? Email history is available directly in the context of the auction.
What change of reservation was described in the notification? History shows readable text without HTML tags.
Is the phone number ready with the correct area code? The SMS dialog allows you to use the corresponding international country code.

These places give both support and operations a specific starting point. Ambiguity can be classified more quickly: the message is missing from the context of the process, its content is displayed incorrectly, or the contact needs to be corrected before sending.

What these changes mean for message delivery

The fixes reduce the risk of errors in the preparation of SMS and improve the traceability and readability of e-mail communication. However, the mere display of a message in the history is not a confirmation that an external mail or SMS service has delivered it to the recipient. When solving a problem, it is still important to distinguish between a properly prepared message, its sending from TSC and the result with the communication provider.

It is the clearer first two steps that save time. The user has a better background for review, and support can focus on the real cause more quickly instead of looking for a message or deciphering technical code.
